  1. If you have no knowledge of PHP, wouldn't it be really hard for you to make a project first up? I think so.. I will actually try making a project, its a good idea. I think I have enough knowledge in it to make a simple script. Got any ideas what I could make?
  2. I never owned a computer but I got a laptop 4 years ago (my first). It has 70GB HD and 2GB RAM running Windows XP. It was a used laptop when I got it so it didn't have good specs but when I used to live in India, my uncle had a computer shop and I had worked with a lot of old computers and worked on Windows 98.

    HTML 5

I haven't used HTML 5 yet as well. I am still a newbie when it comes to web related stuff. I have just learnt CSS and all that and I think it will take me a while before I get used to HTML 5.
  4. I use external CSS for sure. I think that it is more organised when you use external CSS because you don't need to type what style you want into every single HTML code you type. However, when I just want to make a minor modification to a HTML code and it doesn't have a ID or a class specified to it, I just use styling inside the HTML code. It just speeds things up. Having external CSS also speeds up when you want to edit some part of your website's design without it making a huge difference to any other things.

    PrestaShop

Hey guys, What are your opinions on PrestaShop? I was recently using PrestaShop for my business to put it online. It was quite user friendly and whenever I needed any help, I just googled the question and most of the questions were answered. However, when it came down to me exporting my products into a CSV file to update stock easily, they had plugins which cost £50+ which was a investment I didn't want to take as my business is still new and didn't want to take many risks. Most of their plugins are paid but the built-in free ones are really good and it was one of the best softwares I
  6. I think it is all based on what 'you' want to do. I am in also the same case as you because I have tried learning PHP several times as well but failed. But I think if I do put in the hard work, I will succeed in it. There are more than enough tutorials out there for anyone (and I mean anyone) can start learning PHP. If you haven't seen The New Boston videos, they are quite informative and there are 200 of them so you could use them to learn PHP.
  7. I have just started designing and I think I prefer using divs in my layout because I am more comfortable using those. However, I heard that table based designers are easier to design and are more professional as well, however I am not sure if it is correct. I have never worked with a table based design so I am not sure how I'd work with them :$
