  1. I voted Square Enix just because I loved the Final Fantasy series. LOL. I'm really not that familiar with game developers. I just enjoy the games they make.
  2. Wow! Is this the future of music? How's this even possible? Has science gone that far? haha. Kidding aside, these are very creative. I wish I were the one who came up with this. Nah-who am I kidding. I can't even do HTML properly. LOL.
  3. I've never been much of an Apple-head either. The only thing I Iike about apple products is that they never catch any virus or malware. Other than that I really can't think of anything else. I guess I'm just really used to Android. Plus Apple devices carry a pocket-draining price so nothing to do here!
  4. As for me, it's: 1 Yahoo 2 Gmails (1 for business and 1 for just about everything else) 1 Lycos (Don't really use it though. I don't know why I had this in the first place.)
  5. The first computer that I can really call my own is the one I'm using now. It's just a netbook though, nothing too powerful. It's an Asus Eee pc x101h. Here's the specs: Intel N455 Atom 1.66Ghz processor MeeGo OS 10.1-inch, LED-backlit LCD, 1024 x 600 250GB HDD 1GB DDR3 Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n Bluetooth v3.0 2x USB 2.0 VGA, Ethernet, 3.5mm audio port It's not much but it's pretty decent. The specs is enough for me to get work done and even play some games. One thing I dislike about it though is that it has really small keys and I'm fat-fingered so typing can sometimes be a hassle. LOL.
  6. The concept of owning part of the site does sound a little appealing. But how do you allocate the shares though? I've read that shares of the company are in units called vshares. If so, how do you accumulate shares? Do you earn revenue with those shares? I know there's a FAQ link there somewhere but asking directly seems more interactive; plus I'm lazy today. LOL
  7. Objet petit a is one of Jacques Lacan's psychoanalytical theory of unnatainable objects of desire; a somewhat deviation of Freud's theory of subconscious desires. Nice to know you're familiar with the subject my good sir! If given the chance I too would love to be a clinical psychologist. I need to take my master's and doctorates first though.
  8. The site is down now. Domains have expired and I really didn't see the need to renew it since 1) I didn't have the money yet at that time and 2) I wasn't getting any decent revenue from them. It's clear to me now that there's still tons I need to know before I can be a successful webmaster. But I consider it a learning experience; kinda like dipping my toes in the water so to speak.
  9. I'm really haiving a hard time getting organic traffic. More often than not, it's really just a hit-or-miss scenario for me. I've tried posting on forums, using social media, and bulding backlnks to it by writing articles on online publishing platforms, but the traffic flow is really inconsistent. Plus, I've been caught up on some other stuff I needed to do so I really wasn't able to give it my full attention. Needless to say my websites died a natural death. The domain expired and I wasn't really sure if I wanted to renew given the state the websites are in. However, I'm here to remdedy that by learning all that I can about proper website develoment and maintenance and maybe, just maybe, I'll be encoraged to build a few more.
  10. Thanks for sharing the sites guys! The main reason i joined the community was to learn the basics of website development and upon seeing the sites you guys just mentioned, I feel that I'm one step closer to achieving my goals. I may still have a whole lot more to learn, but I'm taking the necessary baby steps right now. I knew this forum wouldn't fail me. Thanks a bunch!
  11. Laptop wins this round for me. Although an iPad is a wonderful piece of gadgetry, it is more of a "status" item than a utility. A laptop has far more processing power and have features I generally go for that are not present in an iPad. Sure, it's a bit more bulky to carry around, but I can certainly do more stuff with it. Plus, as an avid gamer, a laptop can host a plethora of high-end games enough to get my eyes glued to the screen.
  12. What's up guys? My name's digitalink01 and I'm a freelance writer and blogger. I used to own 2 websites but unfortnately, I got caught up with school work and I wasn't able to keep them up. I'm a double major, with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Business Management, so if you have any questions about the aforementioned topics, please feel free to send me a message. Basically, I joined this community in hopes of learning the ins and outs of website development and maintenance. I do hope you guys can help me out I'm looking forward to conversing with you guys! See you around!
