  1. None of Apple's "mobile" devices support Flash, but at least OS X does. I couldn't imagine ever using it over Windows if it didn't.
  2. When I used to run forums, I've tried a variety of different forum software options, and I have to say that vBulletin was my favorite. The extensive customizability and control you have with vBulletin is unmatched by any of its competition. IPB is also very nice, and I would use that in the case that vBulletin wasn't available to me, but it is lacking that customizability/control and the massive community that vBulletin has. phpBB is the worst out of all of the options I've tried, but I guess that's because you get what you pay for. There is a pretty big community behind phpBB as well thou
  3. I was only about 12 or 13 when I received mine, so don't feel too bad. Great game choice, though. I love the GTA series, especially the older titles like GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas. Lately, though, I've become more interested in the Saints Row series after I picked up Saints Row: The Third for my Xbox 360. The campaign was a lot more fun than GTA in my opinion, it just doesn't have that realistic feel that GTA does.
  4. Very well done, sir. A lot of these are actually pretty impressive, considering you made them yourself. I'd also like to know what software you used, although I'll also assume it was Photoshop. Regardless, good work!
  5. I agree with you completely. An iPad (or other tablet) does not replace a laptop for any type of extensive work, and getting one should not mean being able to get rid of your laptop entirely. Sure, the iPad/tablet can replace your laptop for some tasks, such as watching online videos, but a laptop is still preferred (for me, at least) for almost everything that requires a good amount of RAM and processing power (or Flash ).
  6. I prefer YouTube to Vimeo simply because of its popularity and the variety. The community behind YouTube is what makes it the most appealing, as Talk Tech News said. The only thing I seriously dislike about YouTube is its heavy censorship of videos containing any copyrighted material, although Vimeo is quite guilty of this as well.
  7. Earlier today, my MacBook Pro started making a very strange beeping noise. The beeping would take place about every minute (give or take), and it stopped after about 15 minutes. This is the first time this has happened since I got my MacBook Pro about 2 weeks ago, and I have no idea what caused it or even where it was coming from. Anybody ever have this happen to them or know what could have caused it?
  8. The iPad is a really great device, but it's certainly not a "laptop killer". I love mine, and I use it almost daily, but it does have its flaws. As Creaky said, there's no Flash unless you go with a third-party solution and none of them are flawless (or free). What the iPad really excels at, in my opinion, is gaming. There are so many great titles on the App Store that'll keep you entertained for days on end. A lot of the apps are quite impressive as well, but they still don't match those on Windows/OS X. For entertainment, though, I would say the iPad is quite a good choice. I love using
  9. My first computer was a Dell Inspiron 6400 notebook (above). I got it as a gift from my parents in 7th or 8th grade, I can't remember exactly when. Now I own a 15" MacBook Pro that I couldn't be happier with. The Inspiron was causing me so many headaches before I made the switch, I couldn't even begin to describe...
