  1. Twitter is a brilliant social networking site as it keeps everything simple, short updates and not much more. There are a few programs that make it that little bit faster to 'Tweet' and keep up-to-date with tweets from the people you follow, and these are my favorite two. TweetDeck. This is an excellent program as it combines news feeds from Facebook and Twitter, while looking stylish and professional. There is a desktop program or a add-on for Chrome, and iPhone, iPad, Android etc. Website: http://www.tweetdeck.com/ And, Screentweetr. This is a small program that detects when images appear on your clipboard. This means whenever you take a screen shot (or use the Windows 7 program Snipping Tool), a pop-up will appear asking if you wish to upload this. There are quite a few image hosting websites to choose in the settings, and it also asks if you wish to add a message, it then posts it in a matter of seconds. Website: http://tinyurl.com/3j2bssf
  2. From what I've read and seen on TV etc, it seems that they are. But, only while on the phone are they affective and only for a long time per month. It seems there's a massive increase in the chance of a tumor if you use mobiles extensively. This article says a lot http://www.healthandgoodness.com/article/are-cell-phones-dangerous.html and there's lots of information throughout the internet of case studies about it.
  3. Thanks for the detailed replies guys, I found a video guide. My PC is silent no matter how long I leave it on and it's always nice and cold. I'll see how it goes, thanks again guys.
  4. I can't say I know much about this, but all I know is it increases the clock rate of the Graphics card/CPU, which makes the Graphics card/CPU work harder, right? I just wanted to know, if this is safe, or even a good idea?
  5. Just to let you all know, I updated the mod list and removed my previous post of "new mods" and added them to the list.

  7. Minecraft 1.4 Sadly many of these mods are now outdated due to the new update. However, they will be soon, so I will post the ones that have been updated as soon as possible.
  8. I am doing a tutorial for this as it is particularly tricky as you have to use a Mod Manager (there are other's but TFC's is the best). Firstly, download the Mod Manager here. Then, to install Mo' Creatures Mod you need three things (Five if you include Minecraft and the Mod Manager, but let's keep it simple): 1) GUI API, this is an in-game mod manager of sorts, if the mod has changeable settings such as number of custom mobs spawned, or if they spawn atall. 2) ModLoader v4, this just makes mods compatible with Minecraft, so you don't get that lovely black screen when you try to load up. And finally, 3) AudioMod, this enables the use of custom sounds in minecraft. Once you have downloaded them all, then download the thing we've all been waiting for, Mo' Creatures Mod. Right, now for the slightly-less boring stuff, Installing. Firstly, run the Mod Manager, and you'll get this window: Now, click the box icon with a nice green [glow=green,2,300]+[/glow] on it. Then, you will get an explorer window, find all the mods you downloaded and add them individually, in the order of GUI API, ModLoader, AudioMod, and then Mo' Creatures (I think you have to do it in this order). Then, click Finish modding, wait for the progress bar, and you are done! Run minecraft and bask in the glory of your awesomeness, and go swim with the dolphins!
  9. Just one more for today, this one had to be included, Shelves! http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=80246

  11. So, Dropbox. It's pretty much an online USB pen for all you people who haven't had the pleasure of using it. All you have to do is sign up (which takes about a minute) and download & install it (about 3 minutes). Then, you can upload a file and download it from any other computer simply by logging in and choosing which file to download. For a free account you get 2GB storage, however, for every person you refer to the site (they have to register and install dropbox) you and the person you have invited get another 250mb space. This can be done up to 8GB, which frankly, is awesome. So, what I am proposing is that since there are 250 members, I think theres plenty of us to refer 8GB of people each. To start off I will post my referral link, then someone else can post theirs and so on, that way we all get more storage and everyones happy Referral link: http://db.tt/Guirgvb
  12. The 32-bit seemed to be just the same, crashed straight away. I'll download CS4 tonight.
  13. Welcome, Dai's all official here (so is everyone else but yeah), it's lush.
  14. Cheers Shaunno, sadly I tried all those and none of them seemed to work, I think i'll just have to download CS4 sometime.
  15. As Dai said I'm into mods and I use alot, any one's that I like and think others will enjoy I'll post them here. Controllable Pigs - completely control pigs with saddles (including jumping): http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=189582 In-game inventory editor: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=97332 Convieniant Inventory - Speed up crafting and sorting of chests: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=162534 Planes - Fly, in Minecraft! http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=198188
  16. Unless they were part of the installation, nope.

  18. I've used CS4 on this computer and never had any problems, but surely if it was a computer issue it wouldn't have run CS5 atall (I've had it for a few months and it's been fine until now)? :S Also the only changes I've made is installed Cinema 4D, would this affect Photoshop in any way?
  19. Yes I am and nah, I'm not running SLI. No, I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430.
  20. How's this? I know the "Member" part looks a bit squashed but that's just the font, I did have "User" but I thought member was more accurate.
  21. So I've had this a few months now, and it's always been fine, it's never even been slow but now it totally won't work. It will load up, but as soon as I try to open a file or create a new document, or anything other than just stare at it, an error window pops up saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working". I've tried re-installing several times but no luck, and despite deleting all the files for Photoshop, when I re-install all my settings are the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. Yeah of course, sounds awesome. I just need to get PS working, I've tried re-installing but it still says "Adobe Photoshop CS5 is not responding" every time I try to make a new document/open a picture. I'll try using Pixlr for now
  23. [glow=green,2,300]Forum userbars[/glow] are small images to share something about yourself very quickly, while being simple but effective, and also, they look cool. Userbars are 19x350 pixels in size, so sometimes it can be tricky to select a part of the photo. To start off you will need a picture, obviously. And in for this tutorial I am using Photoshop but I know this can be done in editors such as GIMP or Pixlr. In this tutorial I will use this picture (because House is awesome): Now, you need to create a new photoshop document with the dimensions of 19 pixels high and 350 wide, you might want to set this as a Preset if you intend to make a few. Next, import the image you wish to use and move it about until you get something you like. I chose the eyes: Next, you need the text. I use Visitor TT2 BRK, once you have entered your text double click it in Layers and go to Stroke, change the Size to 1 and make sure the color is black. This will then make a very small black layer around the text, but is very effective. Next, we need to create a pattern (the lines that go across the userbar). First, create a new document with the dimensions of 4x4 pixels, then zoom in 2000% by going to the top of the window and where it says "100%" change it to 2000%. Once you have done that, take the pencil tool (if you don't know how to find this simply hold left-click over the brush tool and click the pencil tool) and draw a diagonal line from the bottom left to the top right, like this; Now, go to Edit and click "Define Pattern", call it something like "Diagonal lines" (it doesn't really matter) and click Ok. Now, go back to the document with the image, select the paint bucket tool (hold left-click on the Gradient tool. ) and at the top of the window there is a small box saying Foreground, click the drop-down arrow and select Pattern, then the pattern you created. Now, create a new layer and while the paint bucket tool is selected (with the pattern) just click on the user bar and go from this; to this: Now all you have to do is turn down the opacity of the new layer (it depends on your image how much, but you want it visible but not too obvious). And lastly, the glossy effect. First create another new layer and select the Elliptical Marquee Tool (it's just like the regular select tool but circular , No prizes for guessing how you find it). Then, start off way off the actual userbar (in the grey area, start at the top left) and stretch it right across so you get a nice dip/curve, then hold ctrl and press backspace, it should look like this; Once again, turn down the opacity (again it depends on your picture, but you want it low-ish) and you are done! This is the finished result and thank you for reading this tutorial, hope it helped.
