  1. So from looking on CentOS's website 5.8 will be supported through 2017. The only way to upgrade from CentOS 5.x to CentOS 6.x is by backing up all your data then doing a clean install of the new version and restoring all you files. That's not really something I'm looking to do right now. So I can't find it out there, but I'm wondering if you can even install PHP 5.4 on CentOS 5.8. Has anyone tried or read about this yet?
