  1. Anonymous has now released an OS. It's based on Ubuntu flavor of Linux for "Educational Purposes". Would anyone here try it? Some people are freaking out that it will be packed with trojans, maybe. Some are also saying that someone else released it claiming to be Anonymous for publicity. Wouldn't want to be that person They will find you. It 21,000 Downloads @ 5am this morning and was just released today! Source
  2. So on Windows I used Rainmeter for showing system statistics. I liked how I could see all that system data on my desktop. Now that I'm on Linux I was looking for the same thing. I found Conky to be a great piece of software.
  3. So it's been a while since I've used linux as my desktop and decided starting next week I would run only on it for a few weeks. I need to increase my Linux knowledge and will only do so by trial and error. So first things first, anyone else have issues with the Ubuntu Software Center taking forever when installing new programs? It crawls for me. My computer isn't slow either, flies on Windows 7. What gives?
  4. Another quark I found was the middle mouse button that I normally can click straight down on in Windows and quickly scroll up or down a page. This seems to be unavailable or disable by default on Ubuntu. Anyone have a fix or a way to enable it?
  5. Any way to remove/disable the authentication box that pops up almost any time I try to install or modify anything? It reminds me of the user acess control center with Windows 7 which I have disabled.
