digitalink01 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 What's up guys? My name's digitalink01 and I'm a freelance writer and blogger. I used to own 2 websites but unfortnately, I got caught up with school work and I wasn't able to keep them up. I'm a double major, with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Business Management, so if you have any questions about the aforementioned topics, please feel free to send me a message. Basically, I joined this community in hopes of learning the ins and outs of website development and maintenance. I do hope you guys can help me out I'm looking forward to conversing with you guys! See you around!
Administrators Nathan Posted February 25, 2012 Administrators Posted February 25, 2012 Welcome to the board. So you sites are offline now or just not updated?
SpikeTheLobster Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Hey there Inky. Nice to meet you. I don't know diddly about business (beyond what I pick up all over the place) but my lady's a qualified clinical psychologist, so if you start talking about the petit objet a, I'll nod knowingly. Only because I've heard the term before, of course, but hey... it's a start.
digitalink01 Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 The site is down now. Domains have expired and I really didn't see the need to renew it since 1) I didn't have the money yet at that time and 2) I wasn't getting any decent revenue from them. It's clear to me now that there's still tons I need to know before I can be a successful webmaster. But I consider it a learning experience; kinda like dipping my toes in the water so to speak.

Objet petit a is one of Jacques Lacan's psychoanalytical theory of unnatainable objects of desire; a somewhat deviation of Freud's theory of subconscious desires. Nice to know you're familiar with the subject my good sir! If given the chance I too would love to be a clinical psychologist. I need to take my master's and doctorates first though.
Administrators Nathan Posted February 26, 2012 Administrators Posted February 26, 2012 Yeah it's def a learning curve. I've been messing with sites since my very first in 2002.
Talk Tech News Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Hello and welcome. I enjoy psychology as well and would like to do a degree in psychology one day.
SpikeTheLobster Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Objet petit a is one of Jacques Lacan's psychoanalytical theory of unnatainable objects of desire I should mention that my lady's definitely NOT Lacanian, the expression just stuck in my head. She met Nasio a couple of times while she was studying, though. Apparently he's a big-headed git. Though she may just have said that because he's SO Lacanian and she isn't...
