Administrators Nathan Posted February 29, 2012 Administrators Share Posted February 29, 2012 So what have you used to manage projects you are working on? Do you use a project management system or a help desk/ticket system? I'm currently using OSTicket. It's a great piece of software. Easy to setup and use. Very quick and efficient. Microsuck
I use Hesk. It's really neat.
SpikeTheLobster
Umm, those are both helpdesk apps, not project management tools. Project management is a completely different animal (bigger, uglier and nastier teeth).
bryce12
I have used both Microsoft Project and Track Suite from Lotus Notes to manage my projects. I found MS Project a lot easier to use as it has a user friendly interface and pleny of features that help with project management. OpenProj is the best free alternative to MS Project that offers all the bells and whistles of a Project management softare.
Administrators Nathan Posted March 1, 2012 Author Administrators Share Posted March 1, 2012 Umm, those are both helpdesk apps, not project management tools. Project management is a completely different animal (bigger, uglier and nastier teeth). Yeah I know, but I use it for tracking tasks/projects I'm working on. It works pretty well just for keeping a list of projects and the history on them in a centralized location.
