Administrators Nathan Posted March 3, 2012 Administrators Posted March 3, 2012 Is anyone else a member on http://www.dnforum.com ? I just joined yesterday, and to do very much you need to be a premium member, so I paid to upgrade my account ect... Seems like it will be a decent resource. Now they also offer to allow you to put a banner ad in your signature for $99/year. I'm wondering if this would be a decent investment or not? I mean the pricing actually is super cheap, but will it generate any click thru's? Hard to tell. Anyone else have any experience with this over at DNF? Quote
DevilKid Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Putting links in your signature for $99 per year? I think for this, you must have a lot of posts on that website at first because if you have 1 post then there is no point of buying it. The forum however looks quite active and I do think it will get you some new members but I doubt it will be really worth the investment. Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted March 3, 2012 Author Administrators Posted March 3, 2012 I'm in between, I mean it sounds like a big chunk up front, but if you figure it's less than 10 bucks a month, I think I will give it a try and track the clicks we get in this thread. Quote
DevilKid Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 How many posts do you have on that forum? Because that will impact how many views and clicks the link gets from that website as well. Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted March 3, 2012 Author Administrators Posted March 3, 2012 Less than 10 right now, but I plan on posting quite a bit. If I had more I could see come benefit, but not a whole lot, because it would be in old threads that no one looks at anymore. The best advertising I would think would be in new active threads right? Yeah that is true as well. If you already had posts, most of them would be in dead threads. I guess thats a good way to look at it. I think you should go ahead if you are willing to make the investment. It should pay off Quote
bryce12 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Personally I don't have any experience with DNF Forum but it does look like a great site. It's got a great Google PageRank and Alexa rank which means that plenty of people will see your message. In my opinion, $99 is worth it but you need to be a lot more active over there to get a good ROI. Quote
crumblepie Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I'm a member there as well, and it's definitely a tempting offer. I think it is best to track how many clicks the links in your sig get and it might give you an idea of what to expect. From my personal experience, links actually get more clicks than banners... but I've never tried inserting a banner on a sig so this might be a whole new game. Quote

Rather than Buying an account, why dont you buy a signature space of a top member on that forum. That will generate more clckthroughs and possible save you some money. I am also a free member on that forum. Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted March 14, 2012 Author Administrators Posted March 14, 2012 Heh, have you seen their pricing? $7,000/month for that banner at the top Quote
Godric Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Heh, have you seen their pricing? $7,000/month for that banner at the top Umm....I meant a signature space of a top member who has resonable amount of posts. Quote
