ChuckTesta Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Ok, so I hope this doesn't turn into a flame thread, but i've been really wanting to learn how to find kernel vulnerabilities, and ultimately write exploits for them. Has anyone here dabbled with this realm? If so, please give some insight about where you started and perhaps some good reading material. Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted March 7, 2012 Administrators Posted March 7, 2012 Nope, I don't mind at all, but I don't know much about this so hopefully someone can give you a hand. Quote
androidz Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 There are a lot ways to exploit a system -- all of them uses skill, knowledge and imagination. You could have skill and knowledge but without imagination you wouldn't even think of using a particular information in unexpected ways. What kernel exactly are you trying to exploit? Quote
ChuckTesta Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 Well, to start off i'd like to learn whatever is easiest. Ultimately i'd like to dive into the mobile phone platform, android/ios doesn't matter. Quote

1ufakin Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 You might find this interesting.. They hack a mobile phone http://www.ted.com/t..._be_hacked.html interesting video, learned a lot about wireless devices. Makes me believe hackers can actually kill people if they wanted to =[. Quote
