DynamiteDai
Quite simple once you know how with only 3 simple steps to follow. Step 1: Go to Run( or search on win7) and tap in %appdata%, enter. Step 2: Open the .minecraft folder. Step 3: Copy the texture pack zip file in the the folder "texturepacks" And bam your done, in minecraft main menu it give you the option to alternate between texture packs as you desire. DynamiteDai
Also something that tends to happen to me, if the texture pack does not seem to work and show up on the main menu just extract the texture pack files into a new folder and it should then work. Thrill
Great topic Dai, I'm sure a lot of members will be thankful. The game seems to be really popular at Geeksoup. I also moved this to the Tutorials forum.

Scotteh
My .minecraft folder doesn't have a folder named 'texturepacks' or anything related, expand?
Scotteh
Here's how I did it... Step1: Download a texture pack. Step2: Open with WinRAR The contents may look similar to this... Step3: Go into 'Run' > type in '%appdata%' without the quotations, open the '.minecraft' folder. Step4: Go into bin and find a .jar file named 'minecraft' right-click this and then 'Open with...' then click 'WinRAR' Step5: Copy the files from the texture pack into this file, and make sure the 'Update mode' looks like this: Step6: Wait for the files to transfer, close and play. Henrawr
If you've purchased it, you have to select it from the menu, too.
