Richio Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 How are they made? what are they? What? So basically what are they, and for e.g. sometimes i stumble accross one and it's almost like the foundation of a website where you can download the contents... Quote
Henrawr Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 FTPs are used to host the files that produce all of the content. So the .htm/.html, .css, .javascript files etc are all uploaded through an FTP uploader and that produces a website. The ones where you see the index are usually websites with no content yet or similar. Quote
Henrawr Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 When you buy hosting, you sometimes get a control panel or they just give you your FTP details. Then you just need an FTP uploader and upload the website's style sheets to make it a fully functioning website. Quote
