You can't just create an email in Thunderbird, it's an Email client that allows you to read the Emails. You need an Email server and a domain.

 

If you wan't, I could set up a @geeksoup.net email that you could use? :)

mattcoop@geeksoup.net created :) I've personal messaged your password, now try it in Thunderbird with the Email I supplied and the password, it should set all the POP3 settings up automatically. Good luck!

No worries, if this is solved I shall lock it. If you have any more problems with the custom Email, post a new topic :)
