Zodiac Signs Changing

Well all the buzz on the Internet lately about the zodiac signs (horoscopes) changing, and the "discovery" of a new 13th sign Ophiuchus all came about when an astrologer, Parke Kunkle of Minneapolis Community and Technical College told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune about the procession of stars over time.

This is what he said:

"Three thousand years ago the sun was 'in' whatever it was in. Now it's about a whole constellation off from that."

"When [astrologers] say that the sun is in Pisces, it's really not in Pisces."

The article then went on to state:

"The ancient Babylonians based zodiac signs on the constellation the sun was 'in' on the day a person was born. During the ensuing millenniums, the moon's gravitational pull has made the Earth 'wobble' around its axis, creating about a one-month bump in the stars' alignment."

"Indeed, most horoscope readers who consider themselves Pisces are actually Aquarians." The article also claimed that Scorpio's window lasts only seven days, and that a 13th constellation, Ophiuchus, used to be counted between Scorpio and Sagittarius but was discarded by the Babylonians because they wanted 12 signs per year.

This information was then picked up by media outlets all over the internet, and somehow, what Kunkle said got morphed into "the zodiac signs have changed". With social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, this information went viral almost instantly, and everyone all over the net lashed out about the new change.

Think of it thise way, it applies to how it is when you were born, so we're all technichally the same signs. It's only people born after this discovery it will effect. It's all bull ayway, lol.

good point there, seeing as we were born before the orbit changed! +1
