You prefer to code your own forum software, than use any other? Must be time consuming alone :)

I have trouble using other people's code and prefer my own organisation as I know it 100%, as opposed to learning someone else's that may be foreign to me.

This is my first experience with SMF, and it seems very nice indeed. I do like the popup notification on the right when someone replies to you, that's good. I'm mainly used to vB or PHPBB.

We're using a heavily modified version of SMF. The notification system is a modification :)

The forum certainly looks very sleek. Nice to see you lot know what you're doing. (I've been on forums where they didn't...and they were a corporation!)

maybe the site will when it grows and begins to earn a good revenue, the admins will ponder, but it looks as if both of them really like SMF, it's up to them

It's an "ok" software in my mind, but I will be moving off of it shortly to IP Board or vBulletin.

Really? What don't you like about SMF? :)

I don't like having the mods that you have to use to do almost anything.  I would rather it be coded within the software to begin with.  That way when an update comes out you don't have to make sure that all the mods are compatible with the new forum software.  A lot of the mods are also done by individuals so you have to depend on them to continue support.
