Nintendo 3DS vs Sony NGP

Post your views/opinions on which future handheld you think will be the best.

Personally, I think that the the NGP is obviously the most powerful and multi-functional, i.e. playing video,  but the 3DS will have the backing of popular game series, which will give it the edge.

Sony PSP all the way. Although I liked the concept of a DS because of the originality of most of the games, I just like the PSP for greater quality gaming, when it comes to graphics and sound, also the ability to play great games, watch high quality movies, sweet internet radio and digital comics on the go is very appealing.

If it was my money i'd buy NGP but realistically i think the 3DS will be better as it already has a major foothold on the UK market and when the Dsi was released their sales rocketed and i think this will be no different, especially as this is now in 3D and doesn't require the use of those bloody awful glasses!

3D could be problematic though. Battery life would be compromised to fuel the 3D effect, meaning that on long journeys away from power sources, the 3DS would not be very useful. This could also happen with the NGP as well, as the bright OLED screen will be very power hungry. I'd probably have the 3DS, due to its large selection of decent game titles. If the NGP had a few lined up though, my mind would be changed.

That was probably one of the first things they thought about when they were designing the 3DS about the battery life and that's why they've put a more powerful one in.
