Thrill
I know a few of you like to strongly express your opinions. I've got a feeling theres gonna be a Libyan war pretty soon, all for oil again. US will want to enforce democracy, which will be a cover up to pinch their oil and we'll help the US as we always do Discuss
CHiLL
I think I agree with you on that one.
Der Walker-Kaiser
Doubt there'll be a war with us for one VERY VERY important reason. When the UK was in the stage of allowing Abdelbaset al-Megrahi to be released after being responsible for the Lockerbie bombing of November 1991, it has been revealed recently that basically Libya paid an huge amount of money for him as long as we got the oil drilling rights over there. I really don't think even David Cameron and his chums could be that stupid (well you never know!) to go to war with them as the amount of money both the UK and Libya would loose would be eye-watering! CHiLL
Now the UN has committed to attacks on the country. My guess is that the UK cannot commit any troops to Lybia because we already have them in Iraq and Afganistan. It will probably have to be France or Italy. However, some of the first missiles to be launched by the UN were launched from a UK submarine.
Thrill
I don't think we'll send in ground troops, I reckon Gaddafi will give up soon
