Scotteh Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Who do you think? I'm personally stuck between Bethesda for the Fallout/Elder Scrolls series, Mojang for the phenomenal Minecraft, Infinity Ward for the Call of Duty series, Capcom for it's Resident Evils, Konami for Metal Gear series or Squaresoft/Square Enix for the Final Fantasies. I love too many. D: Quote
DynamiteDai Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 double Fine takes it for me. I love how creative some of the games are even if they only started in 2000. They first worked at LucasArts and when they did they also made great games. Quote
Scotteh Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 I saw Double Fine, but only for their work on Psychonauts which I never played... Quote
DynamiteDai Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Only about £6 on Steam its great I'm playing through it again. Quote
CHiLL Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 BioWare are one of my favourites. As are Valve, as they've greated some amazing games, such as the Half-Life series, Portals, Left4Deads, etc. Not only that, but they created Steam, which is a great platform. Their only problem is they can't ever do anything to a time. Quote
Shaunno Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I voted IW for the COD series but I forgot about the battlefield series which is amazing (developed by EA(Digital Illusions)), also developed by is the command and conquer series which (imo) is excellant. Also crytek for far cry/2 and Crysis 1&2. Quote
webdevuser Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 You forgot 2 major companies... Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed <== My favorite game and Blizzard for Diablo / Starcraft / Warcraft / WOW Victor Leigh 1 Quote
Thrill Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Bohemia Interactive. 12 developers, yet bloody awesome games (ArmA, Operation Flashpoint) Quote
Scotteh Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 You forgot 2 major companies... Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed <== My favorite game and Blizzard for Diablo / Starcraft / Warcraft / WOW I put a few examples that I could think of at the time, that's why I added a 'others' section... Quote
ford1001 Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 And I also chose Infinity Ward for their work with the Call of Duty series Quote
CHiLL Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 You forgot 2 major companies... Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed <== My favorite game and Blizzard for Diablo / Starcraft / Warcraft / WOW As much as I agree that the AC series is amazing, Ubisoft sucked when it came to DRM'ing their games. NCSoft have been good for Guild Wars. Serria for the original Half-Life games and F.E.A.R. RockStar for GTA3 and GTA:VC. Quote
webdevuser Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Their is way too many Game Developpement Compagny to make a thread like yours :nervous: Quote
Godric Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I actually support infinity ward for the awesome COD series. They know how to make war. Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted March 14, 2012 Administrators Posted March 14, 2012 Aw man, only could select 1? I would say Bioware #1, then Valve, then Infinity Ward. Quote
SpikeTheLobster Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Microprose. They made, without a doubt, some of the best games EVER created for the time. Modern bloatware cannot compare. Quote
digitalink01 Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I voted Square Enix just because I loved the Final Fantasy series. LOL. I'm really not that familiar with game developers. I just enjoy the games they make. Quote
xtinguish Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Who do you think? I'm personally stuck between Bethesda for the Fallout/Elder Scrolls series, Mojang for the phenomenal Minecraft, Infinity Ward for the Call of Duty series, Capcom for it's Resident Evils, Konami for Metal Gear series or Squaresoft/Square Enix for the Final Fantasies. I love too many. D: They definitely are up there among the top developers. I'm personally leaning more towards Bethesda. Quote
KevinN Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Dice has my vote. The Battlefield series are sure worth mentioning. And it is all Swedish! Quote
johnr Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Valve and Bethesda would have my vote. I'm a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series and I still play counter strike untill this very day. Quote
Ezekiel Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Well, my childhood revolved around Fighting Games like: Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs. Capcom, etc. And back then around the early 2000s the only decent FPS game I remember was Unreal Tournament and Counter Strike 1.3. Those FPS games were good but what caught my attention was the Fighting Games. I remembered the times when I was playing at the arcade. I won a few and I lost a lot! Haha, but that was part of the game. That's why my vote would definitely go to Capcom. Quote
shinastray Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I cast my vote for Atlus. Mostly because they usually give us really high quality games that rarely rely on DLC for anything. And MegaTen. Delicious MegaTen. Quote
psufootball Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I like Bethesda and Treyarch. But seriously, Infinity Ward!?!? IW sucks! They're awful with supporting their games. I still hate them for MW2. All they needed to do was nerf the noobtubes and they had a great game but they were too lazy to do anything. Quote
Victor Leigh Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 You forgot 2 major companies... Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed <== My favorite game and Blizzard for Diablo / Starcraft / Warcraft / WOW Right. I can't find Blizzard on the list. Don't they qualify as game developers, too? I am probably biased because World of Warcraft is the only game that I am still playing after so many years. Quote
caguioa747 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 One of my favorites is probably GGG. Their community interaction on a daily basis is fantastic and they are able to create so much content while consistently updating people on what is coming up. Quote
kx8 Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Many years ago Squaresoft/Square Enix released a lot of really good games and so did Konami. The only games I played before were RPGs. Final Fantasy and Suikoden were both the RPG franchises that were the best for me way back then. These days I'm not even sure about the games anymore. They're either looking really great with a crap storyline, or really good storyline with poor gameplay. They just don't make them like they used to. I miss those days when I have to switch discs LOL. The more discs the better! 😆 Quote
