You'd need to download your Sound card driver. What motherboard do you have? What Operation System you using? :D

If you go to the device manager do you see devices with yellow exclamation marks or question marks, also check under the sound tab in the device manager and check it hasnt being disabled. Also did the problem come on suddenly or have you reinstalled windows?

To access device manager using Windows 7 (if you're unsure) Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System > Device Manager.

First, download the sound driver from here; http://download.biostar.com.tw/upload/Driver/Audio/Realtek/HD/2KXP/WDM_R257.exe.

Now, in Device Manager, browse to "Sound, video and game controllers". Find your sound card, right click it, and select Uninstall. Reboot your computer. Run the setup file you downloaded from the link above, go through the setup and then reboot once complete. Does your sound now work?
