Sorry, not the iPad 3, but just iPad

Anyone pre-order it?

I saw quite a bit of bad press about people complaining there are not any new features and how Steve Jobs wouldn't have approved.

I took a look at http://techcrunch.co...7/the-new-ipad/ and saw a few great new features such as:

-Retina Display

-5.0 Megapixel Camera upgrage

-iPhoto can now be used on it

-Fast ram and graphics chip

Seems like a good upgrade to me.

I have mine pre ordered! :)

I don't have it sent to be sent to me though... i have it set for pickup. I'm really excited.

I've had every model in 32gb. This particular time i decided to go for the 16gb model however. More so because when i had the 32 gb, i never used all the memory. I always had a ton left.

I have all my movie on a server, so i am able to stream them to my ipad no matter where i am. :) So i don't need all the storage for movie... and who puts music on an ipad?

Anyways, i'm pumped to see how it performs wit 4g LTE and this fantastic screen.

Also, this whole discussion about an iPad being the primary unit in the home. Fair enough for the majoirty of people.

But I can never see the PC disappearing, there is still going to be a huge market for business, design, development of Appstore Apps! You will never be designing Apps on an Ipad, not unless there are MASSIVE changes in the way it's operated.

With a retina disPlay on the iPad, it brings it to a new category. This isn't even including the 4g LTE capability that's been added. The iPad will now feature true HD movies and games on it and it's going to allow true photo editing with photoshop or iPhoto. This thing is going to be amazing. For anyone to say its not worth it, you're only fooling yourself. :) it's already presold over a million.

@Heyhoe: Yeah I think for normal web browsing people that don't do much on the computer it will easily replace their laptops. But for me that will never happen, I work on my computers all day long 3 screens and a lot of processing power, it would take a lot for me to abandon my keyboard and mouse.

@ChuckTesta & Creaky: Are you guys selling your old ones? We don't have a for sale section here yet until the auction plugin is complete, but I would be interested in one of them possibly depending on price.

I don't get why people continue to upgrade to these new tablets every few months they come out. Maybe if the consumers stood up and were counted and you all refused to buy everything new they put out every 2 months, they wouldn't continually think they can extort customers into buying their pretty much the same products and just sticking one new feature on it to warrant the new hefty price tag.

Sorry Grumpy, but I believe you are mistaken. New Apple devices are generally on one-year cycles. iPads do not refresh every 2 months as you have suggested. Could you name another tablet for me with this pixel density?

I Find the iPad a waste of money.

And for those complaining "Steve Jobs wouldnt have Approved". Even when he was around, all new releases barely had any new features.

That's just the way apple runs, They add a new feature that all phones have had since the dawn of time, and then put a heavy price tag and call it Revolutionary

But the thing was it just wasn't about the products,it was how he, Steve Jobs marketted them, he didn't have that general CEO feel and public image about him. And also the iPad's aren't a waste of money in my opinion, they are probably the largest selling tablet in the market, and it's because they have a reputation for being good!

And the whoe "Steve Jobs wouldn't have Approved" debate is about because it isn't up to his level of perfection, for goodness sakes there were problems charging it!

Well you can do everything on on your Smartphone.

However some of the other tablets arent that bad because they offer calling features aswell, but an iPad is not even exactly a gaming device, I mean for the same price you cna get a PS3 or XBOX and play HD games, on an LED TV, But well... I just find it pointless.

Not trying to flame yourll or anything
