I just submitted a link. What's the purpose of this?
Administrators Nathan Posted March 11, 2012 Administrators Share Posted March 11, 2012 I'll get it approved now. The point is that I build backlinks for a of DeveloperBase.net so soon it will start to increase in PageRank. Then by you putting your link into our link directory when it has a high PR your site will increase in PR as well which will make you rank higher in search engines. You can check you PageRank with our tool here as well http://Digitize Design.net/tools/pr/.

SpikeTheLobster
Although I'm closing down my PR2 site to merge it into my main one now, would you like me to pop a link on there to DB, Nathan? Bit more link-juice if you want it - at least 'til I shut it down completely (or sell it or redo it or whatever). Nathan

BlackHatClass
The best example is DMOZ.. It's one of the most trusted directories, and the hardest to get in.

BlackHatClass
And the slowest to approve Well yeah.. They get like boatloads of submissions daily.. It does take time.
EllaHalligan
Well yeah.. They get like boatloads of submissions daily.. It does take time. Do they ever put sites in that aren't submitted? I ask because one of my tools claims that one of my pages is in both DMOZ and Yahoo directories... and I've never submitted to either. Haven't had a chance to go look yet, but I thought it was a tad strange.

I guess some sites do not need submission (like google, apple, ms etc) so they add them themselves.
