GeeOne
Xenforo is the best software for forums and community? G!
dojo
Well it depends. It lacks some features we are accustomed with from using other platforms, it's still new so not as 'mature' as the other ones. On the other hand the script is easy to use, the default design cleaner and more modern and can be a powerful script, once you know how to use it. I am very pleased with it personally and would consider it as my first choice if I'll need another forum started.
Administrators Nathan Posted March 9, 2012 Administrators Share Posted March 9, 2012 I've never tried it on any of my forums, but have used it while browsing others, it's a cool lightweight forum software. I still think it has quite a ways to come until it's caught up with IPB.
Siddharth Ramakrishnan
So Xenforo cant be the best! If you ask me i would say IPB. It depends on the user who uses it! I have seen many forum who runs xenforo unable to handle the forum with 50k users and it breaks often.

ChuckTesta
I personally like vBulletin. Xenforo is decent, but for some reason i just really enjoy vbulletin.
MustangV10
It's pretty good software, I'll say that. I've never used it in depth, however from what I've seen it looks good. Feels very modern, unlike SMF or phpBB for example.
Microsuck
No, it's not.
TehPhantom
Xenforo looks good, and it does have its features, but all the styles made are usually not unique, and makes it an overrated crap software. Please dont hate me bc i said that!!!
DarkGizmo
It depends on what you need your forums to do for you. If you want a light-weight forum, that's still new, xenforo is for you. If you want a more matured, feature-rich platform you may want to look elsewhere at something like IP.Board.
crumblepie
I personally prefer vBulletin, the main reason being the fact that it has almost every type of product and plugin you could ever need or want. And it might be out of habit, since the majority of the forums I frequent are based on vBulletin.
Thrill
Too new to say it's the best. The more mature software such as IPB, vBulletin, SMF, phpBB etc are probably a more likely contender.
Amdac
I currently have 3 xenforo forums on the go and absolutely love the software. In their defense, I've come across multiple examples in the support forums where large forums (1 million+ posts) have migrated to xenforo and have logged huge improvements on load times. While it may be lacking features because it's still new, it more than makes up for it with load times and one of the best platforms SEO wise. I've also used vBulletin in the past and after experiencing xenforo, I'll never go back.
wjack2010
It would not be the best in my opinion, to me it's either PHPBB or MyBB. The other forum software that I haven't mentioned e.g Vbulletin is a bit heavy-handed, it's slower than almost all forum scripts.
