"Recent topics" not refreshimg

The Recent topics box on the main forum page isn't updating with updated topics (stopped around 10am GMT).

It depends on which board new topics are posted in.

 

I have it set to ignore the general chat section since we have Engadget RSS feed coming into the site all the time, I didn't want recent topics spammed with that.

 

Is that what you mean?

Yeah, I guess so. I'm just used to it updating whenever a new post is made, regardless of the forum. Since Engadget is a sub-forum of General Chat, is it possible just to filter that and no general chat/gaming?

I saw a thread created by yourself in the admin section, and it had appeared in the Recent Topics list. I have just posted a reply on that thread, but it hasn't updated the recent topics widget on the main page.

Ah that's b/c it doesn't update based off last post. It show the most recent topics and the topic starter not the most recent posts.

Ahh. Maybe something like I suggested would be a good addition? Just food for thought!

Possibly, I think the point of it is to get attention to new threads so people will notice and reply.

 

Maybe a separate box for recent posts could go below it though.

So it's not just me! I've been noticing strange activity as well, I didn't realize that new posts weren't included. In my opinion, adding new posts or creating an option to display new posts would be extremely handy. That's what I like to rely on in forums.
