Administrators Nathan Posted March 11, 2012 Administrators Share Posted March 11, 2012 Anyone use or recommend a PHP accelerator? Are they even needed? I've just seen some people talking about them lately and I have no knowledge of them.

MustangV10
I use eAccelerator for PHP. I chose to build it with cPanel, quite handy, since a lot of websites these days use PHP, it's important to offer a decent PHP service.

MustangV10
What does it do exactly? I mean it really does speed up php page load times? Not really sure, only reason I use it is because I was recommended to use it by the cPanel staff. I haven't done any comparison with and without. Administrators Nathan Posted March 17, 2012 Author Administrators Share Posted March 17, 2012 I'm always weary of addons like this. I mean if it's so essential then I would expect it to be included with the install of PHP or CPanel/WHM ect...
