Godric Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Ok, Guys so I was thinking of making some good tutorials for Nathan. And after a lot of thinking i have come up with 4 topics. So help me choose or prioritize them. 1) Forum SEO ( 3 part tutorial) 2) Video marketing ( 2 part..atleast I think so) 3)PPC for Social Campaigns 4) WEB 2.0 Utilisation for SEO So reply what you would like to make. This is open for 3 days. And then I will start making them. There will be some good tips too. Nathan 1 Quote
CHiLL Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Well, unfortunately I have no idea about any of them so I can't be of any use! When I get some time, I'll try and compile some of my own tutorials, though they'll probably be more computer hardware/Windows based. Godric 1 Quote
kreso93 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 The 4th topic seems interesting to me. Posting that would be awesome . I'm looking forward to it. Godric 1 Quote
Jessi Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I think video marketing should take priority. Why? Because it seems to be the least done. I'm constantly seeing stuff for optimizing forums for search engines, but it's a little harder when you move away from text-based content and into video content that search engines can't "read." Hope you will like it. I think video marketing should take priority. Why? Because it seems to be the least done. Thanks jessi. I will make one on that too, but it will have to wait a bit. But rest assured that it will be done. Quote
TheMightyEddy Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Number 1 would really fit many people's needs as we're all on a forum, aren't we? Nathan 1 Quote
Hardison Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 The PPC for social campaigns looks good. I have been very interested in PPC, but haven't got my feet wet yet. Quote

SpikeTheLobster Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Totally unrelated to any of those but something I have NEVER been able to find online is a simple 1-2-3 guide to buying and setting up a domain with either shared or VPS hosting. Everyone assumes it's basic knowledge when it isn't: there are a LOT of people out there who'd love a real "Dummies Guide" approach to it. Not even things like picking a good domain name but purely the mechanics of buying, setting nameservers, getting hosting, pointing the domain to the site and running a pre-set install script for WP (or similar). A VPS one would be even more valuable, since there are absolutely NO guides for dummies out there. They all assume you know about nameservers, DNS, hostnames and everything else. Believe me, I looked. Godric 1 Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted March 25, 2012 Administrators Posted March 25, 2012 Well Spike, I've done that several times, maybe it makes sense to do that then. I'll get something together for GoDaddy. Quote
