CHiLL Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 The GAME group has 1600 stores across the world, 600 of those in the UK, including Game Station, has entered administration. Publicised since the rejection to sell Mass Effect 3 and other new massive releases, signalled the end of the struggling chain. Administrators have now entered the company, and taken both GAME.co.uk and GameStation.co.uk offline while they sort out the company. Employees have been notified with redundancies and stores have begun closing. The GAME group has lost out heavily against online retailers such as Play.com and Amazon. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-21-game-confirms-intention-to-enter-administration http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-26-game-co-uk-offline-as-administrators-shut-stores Quote
