Jessi
http://www.instantshift.com/2012/03/28/30-ways-your-business-should-leverage-social-media-this-year/ Okay, last one for the night because this one was just too good. I'm still actually going through it, trying to use more of their tips. Some are pretty basic, like keeping it social, simple, and fun, but others go into more detail of exactly -how- you should be using it to your advantage. ChuckTesta
I've decided to make a linkdin account after reading this article. I plan to search for a few people with the same interests as I have. I'm on iPad now, so not getting too far into it. I'll update on any progress since reading this article. It's funny, every one of these social "must do" articles has pinterest. It's getting so big. Jessi
It's funny, every one of these social "must do" articles has pinterest. It's getting so big. Yeah. For a lot of people, it's actually bringing in way more traffic than Twitter now.....and for only a fraction of the time involved. People repin way more than they retweet, so it makes sense, plus the fact that people love pictures instead of blindly following links. I'm kinda surprised something like this didn't take off sooner. SpikeTheLobster
Two thoughts from me: First, the article started out really well, then descended into BB (buzzword BS) which was a shame. I'm afraid I really can't read or take seriously anything that uses expressions like "works toward unifying your online voice and addressing one audience" and "Incentivize your followers to engage with your brand on social media". I know I'm the odd man out, as usual, but that kind of talk makes me want to throw up on the writer's keyboard, not read their work. Secondly, I had momentarily hoped that Pinterest wasn't going to turn into a big marketing whorefest. That's such a shame. It was really quite fun but I can already see how it's going to turn into stinky dog poop within the next few months as all the slimy marketers jump on board, automatic spamming apps are written and someone figures it's a good idea to introduce interstitial ads. Bummer.
