Nope, 13! Maybe the four were for an upgrade version?   And actually, most did come on CD at that point, with a floppy alternative.   I went to look it up to confirm so I knew I was thinking of

Haha I remember my mom bought a computer with Windows 95 on it already. There was that Microsoft Encarta 96 CD that we had that was like a virtual encyclopedia and it had that cool MindMaze game on it

Certainly! During this very time, I came to know what is a computer and how it can make my life amzing!

I really wonder how I used to enjoy my time on a computer that ran on 200MHz Intel Pentium with 32MB of RAM!

Nowadays, I meet some people who are not satisfied with 4GB RAM!

I was 18 when that came out, I think. That was like a year before I finally went out and bought my very first Windows machine. Prior to that I had grown up in a household that only had Apple computers. My Windows machine was also my very first computer of my own.

It was a Packard Bell with Windows 95, and a whole lot of stupid crap that Packard Bell loaded on to it which made the system practically unusable. Most of the software didn't even work right out of the box when I first set it up.

Haha I am not that old to remember this, but! I do remember the first computer we had at home was with windows 98. It costed us around 1600 Euros. I was too young to know a lot about computers so the only thing I used to do on it was play games with a CD that it came with like tetris and such. I love classic windows it's the best!

I feel embarrassed for them lol

Yeah hard to watch, but I'd probably do the same thing, back then they were probably making more money than anyone in the world.

I was born that year. :D

It seems fun looking a few years back. I can't relate that much because I don't know people are this enthusiastic about a new operating system's release. :)

It looks like you guys didn't get sleep the day before Windows 95 released to get in line first. :D

I can't remember that scenario since I don't have computer at home. I was only using school facilities. I recall it using windows DOS. Mostly, of the extra storage files are diskette or floppy disk.  Windows application weren't used. I was using Wordstar and Lotus application. This were the olden days. Good old times.

Windows 95 was a hit version of the Operating System makers. It ran on many systems around the world and people became used to it for a while before Windows 99 was launched. It was certainly faster than the previous versions and had many more options.

Oddly enough, when I changed from Windows 95 to 98, and then XP I was really confused in terms of the interface. Obviously, being a Win 7 user now, I would have a hard time feeling comfortable with Win 95/98. The design is clunky. XP is 50/50. Strange how time changes the view on certain things.
