Google cracks down on paid backlinks

Recommended Posts

I prefer blackness too. But I am still learning the strings of that specific type of SEO. I dont really understand how they will understand, whether it is a paid link or not?

Join a paid seo service, get the links report, find common things between the sites, change the algo a bit, and BAM!

It was bound to happen. The Private blog networks provided an easy way to get ranked without doing the hard work so it was natural that Google cracked down upon them. I think the best strategy now is to build your own blog network, not the easiest thing in the worl but not impossible either.

That definitely takes a lot of devotion to set up an entire blog network on your own, though I'm sure we'll be seeing people become more efficient at this process.

I believe it now, I've seen a ton of micro niche sites pop up for sale, after checking them on http://www.semrush.com I see that they were on page 1 and now on like page 30 of Google. Beware!

Agreed, people are trying to sell off their sites while they still can before they become totally useless. I'm glad that Google is pushing these low quality sites out of the SERP pages.

I'm actually impressed that they're emailing the sites at all. I would fully expect them to simply slap them with a penalty and move on without any sort of warning.

Yeah, they are sending emails to sites that are not live. Yup, they are sending these emails and notificatiosn just randomly.. One of my completely WH site also received it.

No wonder someone warned me not to use any of the paid backlink services when I asked him about it.

But how does Google differentiate between paid backlinks and the links built by yourself or more legit ones like being posted elsewhere by real visitors?
