Jessi
http://www.curvygirlguide.com/tech/the-politics-of-pinterest/ I'm sure many of you are sick of hearing about Pinterest, but fact is, it's still really popular and only continuing to grow for the time being, so might as well keep up. If you're just going to spam it with junk anyway, then ignore this post, but otherwise, check out some of the tips about how to really use the community. And uh, I had no idea they didn't have a block feature. O.o
SpikeTheLobster
That's a nice simple set of rules. I just discovered that they have an '@' feature like Twitter. How? My inbox is suddenly full of mindless bollocks posted by spammers. Oh joy. Pinterest becomes even more painful to use.

My inbox is suddenly full of mindless bollocks posted by spammers. Oh joy. Pinterest becomes even more painful to use. They are updating their algorithms. You will get better results soon. And I dont think you are spammed because of that. The system actually sends you a notification when any user you follow, follows or likes some one's else pins. Jessi
I think what he means is that spammers have suddenly discovered the "@" feature, too. I've been getting some of it myself. People are pinning things and mentioning/@ing multiple users as a way to get their attention. Even if you didn't get an email about it, it still shows as an alert and has your name in the pin. Precisely. It's just like watching Twitter go down the toilet all over again. Ugh.

Then hopefully Pinterest will balance out and settle in like Twitter did then. The spamming isn't nearly as bad as it was at its peak and is pretty easily avoided nowadays in comparison. There's always a rush with spam with things like this, so so long as it settles, I'm good with it.

And if you don't wanna spam, then don't follow any one who follows a lot of people. The reason being is that you will get a notification for all the repins and likes the person did. That's not spam, since it's solicited. I'm talking about the annoying toads who do the whole "@You" thing just to spam your inbox. Every time a new site gets loads of traffic and gets interesting, it reminds me why I hate marketing so much.
