Windows Firewall problem

The Firewall can be turned off from within the Control Panel.

You're basically removing a layer of security (which admittedly wasn't too effective on XP) from your computer. However if you're behind a NAT/firewalled router, you should be protected from most attacks.

If you still want protection, Comodo do a decent firewall program, which allows program control and real time protection for incoming and outgoing connections to your computer. (Link in this thread: https://forums.prodjex.com/topic/2091-free-alternative-software-list/)
