Gidget
Please guide me how can I turn off Windows Firewall? What will actually happen in that case?
CHiLL
The Firewall can be turned off from within the Control Panel. You're basically removing a layer of security (which admittedly wasn't too effective on XP) from your computer. However if you're behind a NAT/firewalled router, you should be protected from most attacks. If you still want protection, Comodo do a decent firewall program, which allows program control and real time protection for incoming and outgoing connections to your computer. lstryhrn
Just go to the Firewall option in the control panel. You don't need that one. You can always go install another free firewall software.
