ComputerHelp808.com Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 They are all I use. I've never had any trouble and perfect customer support. Try moving your domain from them. Then you'll find out what a pain in the okole (Hawaiian for you know what) they are. Rick Quote
Marc Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Have never used godaddy for hosting, only for my domain names. I currently use 1&1 who are easily as big as godaddy, so would not say they are the biggest player by any means. Quote
Ewan Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 They are not the king of hosting, that's hostgator. They are however the king of domain names. Quote
redinit Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I've heard a lot of bad things from former customers of GoDaddy and 1&1. Yes they are some of the largest hosting providers, but their quality isn't the best. Like someone said, they are like Wal-Mart, large and well-known, but in order to provide such low prices, they sacrifice quality. Their servers are frequently overloaded and their customer support is lacking. There will always be people who prefer quality hosts, which is why there are many that have been in business longer than both of those big names. Ewan 1 Quote

People continue to bash them and I'm not sure why. I've been with them for years now and never had any issues with "overloading" my server and any tech support help I need is answered immediately via live chat or a phone call. Quote

So according to your logic reviews are useless? So I shouldn't take your word as accurate either. Just because you have good experiences so far doesn't mean they work for everyone. I'm assuming you don't use much CPU or I/O resources? If GoDaddy were so great than I wouldn't have customers now would I? Basically what I'm saying is GoDaddy and the like are fine for a majority of people, but it's not the end all for hosting. They don't even support that many technologies. Nope didn't say reviews are useless, just surprised to hear so many people have had issues with them when I've had such good results. There are so many different variables they fail to mention: -what kind of hosting plan they were on -how many sites were they trying to host on the $5/month "unlimited plan" -were they angry because they didn't get support, but then again they didn't want to pay for a managed server ect... I'm not saying I've heard all bad, I've heard both. What I'm saying is they are not for everyone as suggested, there are reasons why other hosts do well in this industry. Quote

GoDaddy's hosting is pretty bad from what I've been hearing. I don't like thee control panel either, a lot different from other hosts. Quote
youtubedomination Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 GoDaddy is definitely your best choice, I was in Australia when a DNS change was accidentally made an their customer service actually spoke english and were based in Australia, not some Indian call center. Quote
