For guides that has anything to do with mobile devices, I would look in XDA-Developers. I believe their iPhone section is called "iPhone Developers".

They are all over youtube on how to jailbreak. Just remember to use the untether versions. Just google it or search on youtube and you will find many great ones.

I know there is a website you can go to from you iPhone to jailbreak it back before iOS 5. Maybe still one out there.

If you have iOS 5.0.1 and only an A5 device (AKA: not the new iPad), then download Absinthe and run it. Make sure to backup your device in iTunes first, though.

Personally when I went to jail break my iPhone 4 I did a lot of research on youtube and watched how they did it. Also you can pick up great ideas when jailbreaking too.

Please don't go there man. Charging 30 dollars for something that's available for free? These people are all that's wrong with the unlocking community.

Currently you are able to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 on an iPod Touch 4g. Take a look at this website on how to jailbreak it using Redsn0w: http://www.idownloadblog.com/redsn0w/

It varies. Some devices on certain iOS versions could use http://jailbreakme.com which exploits a PDF vulnerability.

Or as mentioned above, you can use Absinthe for 5.0.1 on A5, which I used on my iPad 2 before giving it to my dad. It works fine, but always remember to back up! You are modifying major system files and components, so if something goes wrong, it will go seriously wrong.

Just be sure to properly back up your stuff before doing the jailbreak, as the less you have, the quicker the process will be done. Also, I've had a little bug that deleted Cydia, dunno what caused, but I restored my iPhone to factory settings on itunes and did the jailbreak again. That fixed it and this time Cydia didn't bug out on me. So I'd say to back up your stuff just in case.

There are plenty of methods out there to jailbreak your iDevice. I would recommend backing up before doing so though. I'm not quite sure if I like the idea of having my iPhone jailbroken though. Yes You get to have a lot of nice stuff for free but it also seems to slow down the device's speed. At least in my experience it has.

Keep in mind, jailbreaking your device can lead to damage. It's not extremely likely, but it certainly can happen. I found this link:

When you jailbreak your iPad or iPhone, please remember to backup! From what i've read from this article, this method makes jailbreaking your device extremely easy, however like I said, no guarantees! Good luck!
