Anyone here who dislikes the timeline?

Facebook's new timeline doesn't cut it for me - things are all over the place and scrolling up or down makes the page lag because it has to keep loading. Anyone else feel the same?

I didn't like at first, but I like all the real estate at the top!

I personally always loved it as I can't even remember how the old Facebook looked without the timeline!

They have to continue to update or they will fall behind the times. If they don't keep coming up with new things and changes someone else will come along with something different/better and people will move.

As a student being able to use Facebook is like being able to text without looking. It's something we simply just have to do.

 

Personally I love the new timeline as it allows me to keep a tract of what I was like in previous years. For example going back and seeing how stupid some of my status were when I was a tad younger:

But it's important to keep that data locked down, as you don't want anyone and everyone to know your whole life.

Timeline doesn't really bother me. I do however hate the load time of facebook. Sometimes it loads so freaking slow...i hate it.

Yeah, that's what I mean!!! Ever since they introduced this timeline loading times have been crazy! The first change I hated was how they removed the apps from the profiles, and now this. Change isn't always a good thing. I know it's inevitable, as a company has to make changes to grow, but I don't understand why they have to change THIS much! Has anyone tried developing apps for them? They keep making you update your codes.. it's ridiculous! Arrrrgh! *Had a bad day* *Excuse for being a whiner*

I love it, I think it's new, interesting and a good way to see what you used to be like in 09, or see how different your friends were back then. It's a great feature that nobody really likes... Except me!

Can't stand it. I'm not a big FB user but the timeline has just made all the stuff I wanted to use impossible to find and promoted all the useless crap I wasn't interested in. Now all I can see on my pages is a bunch of spam and ads and stuff. And updating is a nightmare: half the time, it bins what I type and I lose half my entries.

People can easily see the history of the brand/company, and the huge banner at the top is great for catching a person's eye. Correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't had much interaction with timeline yet!

I absolutely hate the new timeline. I swear facebook is loosing it's feel. I loved the original feed and now being forced on timeline made me not go on facebook as much as I use to. I don't like how I can't find posts that I made as easily as I use too.

I don't like timeline at all ,it doesn't looks good at all,facebook is gonna fail ,and I hope that happens really soon! I hate that they don't allow me to turn off timeline now once I have it

I agree, the load times are almost horrific, but with such a huge base, what did you expect, really?

I'm not a fan either. On some people's pages, it really works. They've set it up nicely, all their information is there, etc. For a lot of others, though, it just makes their pages nearly impossible to use efficiently. I don't like having to use FB anyway, but now I like it even less.

First off, I don't like the new Facebook timeline. That's why my Facebook profile page is still the classic. We all remembered that the Facebook team has been changing a lot of things on Facebook, from the chatbox to the timeline. Yes, it's new and the society always wants new things, like new clothes, shoes, etc.

 

Although Facebook is innovating, I really don't like the Facebook timeline. It takes a lot more time to load other than the classic theme. Also, when browsing the classic Facebook profile page, all you have to do is to continue to look down BUT on the Facebook timeline you have to look down THEN right THEN left ANOTHER left THEN a right. I know that's not all true but you get the idea.

 

So, no I don't like the new Timeline.

I don't like the Facebook Timeline on personal profiles. I do think the look great of Fan Pages. I don't use Facebook much for personal use, but I do use it for business.

I think I am one of the last holdouts on the new Timeline feature. It just seems so thrown together and mish mash to me, and the way it makes weaker PC's lag as it loads can be irritating. I think eventually though, they will make it mandatory and I will be dragged kicking and screaming into enjoying this new and *cough* helpful feature.
