Setting a cron job to email you a backup of your database?

So i moved back to IP.Board but re-started from scratch after my old DB was bugged out and whatnot. I would like to have a daily backup EMAILED to me each day, is there a way to get a cron job set up so that the database backup gets emailed to me each day at a certain time? Say midnight or something?

I don't know of any way to do this myself, however, you can have something setup so you can take backups at a certain point everyday, then you just need to visit a particular page in your cPanel and the backup will download locally to your computer. Backups are small aswell as I believe they're text-only.

Absolutely you can do this, but not all from the cron job setup page. You have to call a php file from your cron job code.
