DarkGizmo
How is this done? Can it be done with each thing on two separate databases?
Thomas
Depends what you want to integrate exactly. The user's? Or just the posts? Or what exactly. Found this: http://ipbwi.com/ if it's any help.
DarkGizmo
Would like the users and so when they make a comment on a wordpress article, it gets posted to a topic. Basically the users are shared between the wordpress + IPB and when a new article is posted on wordpress, a topic for the article is posted in a specified forum and when comments are made on the article(s) they get posted as replies to that topic in the forum for the article. If that makes any sense....and I saw that but it's rather expensive.....
Godric
I dont know about that. Are you looking for something like Buddypress? A awesome example is Easyoutsource which was made with buddypress.
Thomas
Yes I understand what you are wanting (although I've never really seen the attraction in a joint user base) there are many however since you are using IP.Board then you might want to consider IP.Content. Why try and merge 2 systems when you could simply one.
Wiley
I researched merging the two a few years ago and didn't find many good methods. Haven't revisited doing so since. There are great benefits to having your forum database work with Wordpress. There are so many useful plugins for the user on WP that are lacking on the IPB side. Also, the ability for logged in users to post to a WP article would be highly beneficial.
Administrators Nathan Posted August 12, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 12, 2020 Appears it's been solved here: https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8086-wordpress-sso/
