Start the recording, then wait 5 seconds before you start talking, then leave the same amount of time after you end your discussion before turning off the recording. This allows for easy editing. Some people have serious issues with trying to vlog, but it's nothing different then just talking to yourself, but people just get nervous because there's a camera facing at them. Among other things, I think if I were to produce a vlog, my viewers won't be paying any attention to what I am saying because they will be busy wondering what all that red hair is doing on my face.
