PS3 VS Xbox360

I'm going to vote for the PS3, free online play being the key. However, Xbox 360 has recently been upgraded quite well in regards to multi-media, so it should be considered.

On the other hand, my 360 Elite sounds like a god damn motorcycle whenever I play a game. >.>

I only have the 360, and that I don't play much to be honest. However, I do prefer the game titles available on the 360, including both cross-platform and exclusives. Plus most of the people I know have 360s too, so having a PS3 wouldn't make much sense to be honest.

I prefer the 360, purely because of the social aspect. All of my friends play Xbox, so I play Xbox too. If all of my friends had PS3, then that's what I would have to. Actually I really like some things about PS3 like the exclusives... although I do love me some Halo.

PS3 unless you want to have downtime where you cannot play your games because your console is broken.

My Xbox broke last year, after 5 years of no problems. Now have one of the new black ones.

I think this is the millionth time I've seen this thread lol. If you're gonna buy a new console I suggest you ask yourself these questions:

1. What games do I want to play? (There are some games that are exclusive for the Xbox 360 and PS3.)

2. What will I play with my friends? (This only applies when you are a competitive or fun gamer, if you're a lone game then skip this question.)

3. What console does my friends have? (Again this would apply if you like playing with your friends. Chances are having the same console would be helpful with not just OFFLINE modes but also ONLINE modes.)

4. Graphics (If your gonna get the PS3, I suggest you buy an HDMI cable for 1080p resolution. By far the PS3 has the greatest graphics.)

5. What would I enjoy? (Don't compare them, enjoy them. Stop thinking about the specs or the graphics and start thinking about you enjoyment.)

I hope this helps.

Point on 4. Both systems have about the same graphics now. Back during release there was a noticeable difference...but now there isn't.

Still nobody replied me with concrete answer. Is it worth to buy ps3 since ps4 just might be around the corner?

It's down to your personal preference, and how you would use it.

Do any of your friends have a PS3 or an Xbox 360? If your friends had one and not the other, would you play online with them?

Answer that, and that'll tell you which one to get it you want to play with friends online.

Do you like any of the exclusives on either console? If so, which console has the more exclusives that you like the look of?

Answer that, and that'll tell you which one to get based on exclusives.

The main differences include;

1) Different exclusive games

2) You HAVE to to buy Xbox Live Gold if you want to play online with friends. Which is a monthly subscription. The PS3 doesn't have monthly costs to play online, it's free.
