Thomas
As we are all aware lots of us use lots of different social media websites but in reality how many do you use for your sites?
Victor Leigh
Let me see. I have Facebook and Twitter, of course. Then I have LinkedIn, Reddit and Digg. Add StumbleUpon. So that's about six.
ridwan sameer
Use for our site as in use their tools (like facebook and twitter "sharing" or "liking") Or Use as advertisements? I dont really use them for any sites, but i once paid someone to advertise on their twitter account with 70000+ Followers
dexterlablab1
For my site, I only have two. Soon to be three. I've had both Twitter and Facebook pages and buttons for my site for about 3 months. I'm going to continue the trend and make a Google Plus page for it as well though.

I did a bit of work on Facebook to promote my site and there were some referrals that came from Facbook.
Marc
Just twitter and facebook to me honest. The reason being I feel that for an hour spent promoting my site on facebook its worth weeks of promoting on something like reddit for example

It basically is just a data collector on of your site that shows where your visitors come in, where they leave from, what time they do it, etc. You can use that to see if any people are coming from your Facebook page or any place else. tosaytheleast
Primarily would be facebook and twitter. I seldom use google=. I also seldom use youtube so it is really facebook and twitter that is my bread and butter.
Hardison
In reality I only use one social networking site, LinkedIn. It has been very good to me. I have a presence on Facebook and Twitter, but don't use them. I need to start using Google Plus since Google Places has been moved or changed to Google Plus Local because of my business. tetutato
No social networking sites for my forum. I'm afraid that would take away site activity.

Since you're on LinkedIn, I think I should warn you to check your account to see if anything is tampered with. I say this because LinkedIn was just hacked and millions of accounts were compromised. End of the day people use them whether you promote on them or not. However the payoff tends to be better if you have them as people flick between the

Fortunately, my account was okay.

Ram8349
Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon. Not working very well. I hardly get any traffic from them. Facebook might give me the highest among them, but it's still next to nothing and the conversion rate is next to 0.

I used facebook ads to gain fans, but they aren't joining the forum.
olliesub
I only use Facebook and Twitter for my websites. I believe that putting too many of these sites on my website decreases its look. Since I have a flash website, I just want to keep it clean and make it look dazzling. As for advertising, I advertise on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. I believe these websites have more than enough people to wonder onto my website.

While all the potential of the extra traffic may be a great thing, I can't imagine myself having a long line of button upon button, upon button, etc. It would look horrible. bryce12
I use Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Digg, Stumbleupon and Pinterest. Earlier I used to place plugins like AddThis or Sexy Bookmarks on my sites but then I found that people were not really using them. So I changed my strategy and now include a bare minimum buttons on my sites.

DarkGizmo
I only use Facebook & twitter to post updates. We do have a Google+ page but i feel like G+ is a waste of time half the time. I sometimes use stumble upon and other sites like that to push out content and backlinks.

The only plus I can see to google plus is that anyone who has a gmail account will almost certainly see the links as the alerts can be seen each time they check their email
Administrators Nathan Posted June 25, 2012 Administrators Share Posted June 25, 2012 Re:LinkedIn. How do we know whether our password has been compromised? Is there any tool we can use to check this? If it was you would have received an email from LinkedIn asking you to change your password, as I did.
