Administrators Nathan Posted June 8, 2012 Administrators Posted June 8, 2012 So it's been a while since I've used linux as my desktop and decided starting next week I would run only on it for a few weeks. I need to increase my Linux knowledge and will only do so by trial and error. So first things first, anyone else have issues with the Ubuntu Software Center taking forever when installing new programs? It crawls for me. My computer isn't slow either, flies on Windows 7. What gives? Quote
Marc Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 If it makes you feel any better its not just you. Ive been installin stuff from terminal instead lol Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted June 8, 2012 Author Administrators Posted June 8, 2012 Heh ok good to know, I'm not that advanced yet. I did try to download my Nvidia driver for Linux, but when I double click it just opens in a getedit editor going to have to figure out how to install that via the terminal as well. As far as the other updates, it looks like Windows Update, so just letting it do it's thing. Quote
