Goodbye Silicon Knights? one more development studio down the drain?

The rumor is that Silicon Knights may die very soon. Nintendo is rumored to have canceled Eternal Darkness 2 and the company has lost their court battle with Epic. And now they've been forced to layoff an already reduced sized team

Depends really. These places only need to make one more good game to win back their team. Just depends on whether they manage it or not. Some do, some dont

Even one good game may not be enough if it doesn't sell well. Even though a lot of crap comes out, some good, even great games come out too. And unfortunately, even with being great they don't always sell well.

 

And Silicon Knights seems to be having a hard time getting the assistance and publishing partners they need right now.

lol yeah but the thing is, unless they can get A LOT of hype behind whatever projects they have next, a good seller will be tough to come by even if the game is spectacular.
