That happens all the time. Spam has been all over the internet. It is in the comments, on the email and also on social networking sites too. I would recommend a good spam filter like Akismet to help prevent spam from being posted on your website.

I wonder how do the spam bots work in this case? How do they manage to detect my website, and moreover, how does Akismet filter properly between spam and real humans? I hate captchas btw

I usually go through the technical stuff, especially if it's a newly made website with lots of features. The whole problem is the fact that you may not notice when something it broken, and you cant be sure to receive a feedback about it. So you gotta check everything ASAP when you launch the website.
