Administrators Nathan Posted June 20, 2012 Administrators Posted June 20, 2012 I'm looking for a solution to this issue. Go to http://Digitize Design.net/pm Username: Nathan Password: test123 When you login you will see a list of projects. If you click the project title it takes you to another page that displays all the project information. What I'm looking to do is when you click the project title instead of going to that page it would open that page in a lightbox type effect. What would be the best way to do this? Quote

There is, however your looking for lightbox when you should be looking for thickbox. That said I have just had a lookat the website and it would seem the project is discontinued, however there are alternatives out there. This one looks quite good as you can display html and is very similar to lightbox http://fancybox.net/ Quote
redinit Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 You can use jQuery. http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/ Quote

redinit Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) Thought you could only use lightbox to overlay images? No jQuery is a library, lightbox was a script that made use of it, the things you can do are almost limitless. There are many scripts that make use of jQuery, which is what confuses people. One in particular for text http://www.no-margin...-lightbox-clone You can overlay text, youtube videos, files, etc.. Edited June 20, 2012 by redinit Quote

ridwan sameer Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Looking very nice Nathan. Should implement small (maybe 400 x 400) Thumbnails of a preview of the project or something like that Marc 1 Quote

Marc Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Im with ridwan. Many projects have screenshots etc. Think how many times people tell you something is broken and you ask for a screenshot as well. Would also change the add project to a lightbox popup unless you plan to add a lot more detail to it? Quote

Going to add some more detail to it such as: department, priority, ect... Quote
Marc Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Yeah that's probably a good idea as well. Going to add some more detail to it such as: department, priority, ect... WOOHOO Might have a play with it when your done. Guess I'll have to start a new forum just so I can use the modification. Good a reason as any to start another forum I guess LMAO Quote
ridwan sameer Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I thought this was a standalone modification and not a Forum one? Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted June 24, 2012 Author Administrators Posted June 24, 2012 I thought this was a standalone modification and not a Forum one? It is a stand alone, self hosted solution. Quote
