JHTech100
Inspired by and the polar opposite of: https://forums.prodjex.com/topic/3188-so-what-was-your-first-linux-distro/ So, we've all played with a distro or two (or several), so which one would you want to play around with next? Why? For me, I want to use OpenSUSE because of its differences from RHEL-based distributions (aka RHEL and CentOS). I just to learn something new and SuSE and SLES seem to be used in a lot of professional applications.
Victor Leigh
Well, I have been using Ubuntu and Ubuntu-derivatives like Puppy. Recently I started using Debian. Although Ubuntu is derived from Debian, it is not the same as Debian. There are some things which are done in Ubuntu which are not done in Debian. redinit
I'm going to give Arch Linux a try, as I like frequent software updates, and I avoid RHEL like the plague
JHTech100
I would shift back to a Debian variant like Ubuntu if it had support for cPanel/WHM. But the cP/WHM guys have taken forever to even start the project again.
Marc
Sticking with ubuntu for the moment whilst I get used to linux properly, but might have a play with mint at some point.
JHTech100
I've read some stuff about Mint and seen some pictures. It looks like it has a pretty nice UI to it. For a desktop, I may try it in the future.
