bryce12 Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Hey guys, Your pet can now have his own social network profile and seek friends online. The idea is brainchild of Vikki Thom, a long time animal lover and pet enthusiast. Marc Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Seeking friends? LOL. I run a husky forum and that sounds a little odd even to me.
Ewan Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Haha, never heard anything like that before. Kind of silly if you ask me.
Hardison Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 It might seem silly, but I bet it will be very popular. Many people are wrapped up in their pets. I think it's a great idea.
tetutato Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Wait so it's the owner doing everything for the pet basically right? Not the actual pet going on the site and searching for friends
Victor Leigh Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Sounds a bit like what some people have already done on Facebook. You know, set up accounts in the names of their pets. I think there's one particular dog that has a very big following. Can't remember the name off-hand. Anyone knows?
Administrators Nathan Posted June 30, 2012 Administrators Posted June 30, 2012 Yeah I know a few people that have Facebook's for their dogs and they actually update it...
ashwinr1 Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 What a path breaking idea! Just when you thought, humans cannot think any further we tend to come up with something like this! Totally amazing
xbrix Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 My little brother used to have something like that for our dogs. I don't remember what it was called though.
XxMotleyCrueXx Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I think it is silly as well, I love pets and my cats but I would never start a social network for them or pretend to be them and make postings as them... and the pets arent going to understand anyway... they do not have human brains.
Rainman Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I think that the more publicity it gets, the more likely pet owners are going to create accounts for their pets. But I'm sure it's going to end up being a social network where pet owners talk about their pets with others who also have pets. Not that bad an idea I think considering the fact that the owner of the social network will make a killing with ads for pet-related services or products.
Peninha Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 LOL, pretty crazy, what happened to taking the dogs to the park and letting them smell each other and run around? They need to have their own social network now?
CatDesign Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I read the article and it says it's a social network for pet owners, not for pets. It's supposed to be so that owners can exchange information about pet related services and make a network of friends who can offer pet sitting, and share pictures and videos of their pets. The tittle and caption is a bit misleading.
Colebra Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Who cares? How can we make money off of it? No doubt opportunities will present themselves with this new platform...
JayRob2212 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I believe this idea is a few years too late. People can easily use their favorite social media platform(facebook, instagram, etc) and make their pet a profile.

melvs Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 It really is weird for pets to communicate with each other on social networking sites. They can't! Actually they are not intelligent enough, animals have been around before men, like the Bible said, though they got created before us, they still can't comprehend anything much more interact through websites. The most intelligent being that was created are humans. And humans are the main reason everything was created including animals. So for a social media platform for them will just be an eternity before they can use it. I mean it will NEVER be used period.
