Affiliate Marketing

So I recently invested $100 into my online gaming cd key shop for an affiliate system. (Went for iDevAffiliate) And I was wondering, does anyone else here use affiliate marketing to promote their site, etc.? At the moment my site provides 10% commission per sale with a minimum payout of $50 which I think is pretty easy to achieve if you know a decent gaming group/community.

My main affiliate actually hasn't updated his site with my affiliate links yet so can't say now. I was surprised to see that I got a few sales as soon as I installed the affiliate system but they weren't from affiliates.

I dont use it promote my site but I am part of other affiliate networks to earn money.

I would suggest that you advertise your site on internet marketing forums. A lot of forums allow threads for new affiliate programs so you can get some new affiliates almost instantly. Another way to grab attention of affiliates is to list your program on affiliate program directories, list them on as many directories as possible and you'll soon have a number of affiliates promoting your offer.

Another way to grab attention of affiliates is to list your program on affiliate program directories, list them on as many directories as possible and you'll soon have a number of affiliates promoting your offer.

 

Do you know any good ones out there? The only one I know is WarriorForums.

I have known quite a few folks to be successful with iDevAffiliate, and I think you went with the right company. I am curious as to what what your product is though? A game key cd store? Is that like when people lose the registration key from their games?

Same here, I joined even I think years ago, but never checked it out.

I've been thinking about installing it as well, definitely keep us in the loop on your journey! I write ebooks and they are published on Amazon and other main retailers but I was thinking of starting to sell them directly from my website and set up an affiliate program to allow others to sell for me and earn commissions.

Investing my money into this affiliate system was probably the best thing I've ever done with my site. Ever since being listed on those price comparison sites, my sales skyrocketed along with my site's traffic. Also the support for this app is very helpful and they've been fixing/optimizing the system on my site ever since I've purchased it months ago. I definitely recommend this but just make sure that you have places to advertise.

 

And no, I'm not doing any advertising on PPC. These affiliate sites basically do everything for me now.

So with the traffic you get, Excluding sales, Only advertisement, are you making any return on investment?

Having an affiliate system shall probably bring in more sales than what you could ever have done. The only problem being that you shall be needing some affiliate in the first place. How are you advertising your affiliate program? Maybe you should think about websites like ClickBank.

You have to be really good at SEO, affiliate marketing can be a great opportunity for you, you just have to know how to optimize a webpage so you can gain the proper amount of traffic, through your affiliate advertisement you can gain customers. Once you gain the customer bases you are in a position to capitalize once you make the first sale the next one will come, just continue to push an advertis the network therefore bringing more attention to your site and more attention to what you're selling.

Thanks for the above, l've been looking at affiliate programs as well as PTC and at least with affiliate programs you can make money two ways. Sell your products or sell someone else's, that's really good, l'll be googling affiliate programs to see which ones come up.

Interesting post and replies...I wanted to know a little on affiliate marketing because I have learned that it can pay fairly good if I know how to do it right. Anyways to answer the post created....what about ebay site and Amazon don't they offer affiliate marketing...
