Administrators Nathan Posted January 7, 2013 Administrators Share Posted January 7, 2013 I would adjust 2 things here. Power supply should be ~750W and RAM should be >= 8gigs.
ridwan sameer
Yes I know but I didnt expect to blow out so much money on the CPU and Mobo..so the budget was kind of crapped.I asked a couple local Computer professionals, and they said that 450W Is enough (even though the box of my VGA says atleast 500Ghz)And the RAM I will upgrade in a month. My original plan was 2x2GB Ram for a total of four to take advantage of dual channel, but then I decided to go 1x4GB Now and then put another 4GB in a month
lstryhrn
Yes you may want to upgrade your RAM. You board handles a alot so why not. I have 12gb of ram in my pc and I don't come close. The power supply may need to upgrade to. They told me mines will be enough to but it went out pretty fast. Comes to find out they were just trying to make a sale. blackbagel
Go to http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcforme/ where you can request your budget and also can even tell them your existing things you have. They will help you fit your budget and also get the best hardware for you for the cheapest through the internet.
ENO1986
Only thing I would suggest is maybe buying a different monitor I was told to stay away from Gateway and Acer monitors they don’t last long after warranty expires.
