The cloud server is one of the latest techniques used in hosting sites.

Basically a cloud server is supposed to be very flexible in that the user can scale up and scale down the size of his server as and when his needs changes. For example, if he's running an ecommerce site, he may need to scale up to cope with the end of year festive season. Then after the season is over, he can scale down again to more modest dimensions. And the advantage is that he's only paying for what he actually uses.

Comparatively, cloud servers costs more per unit of resource. This extra cost is offset by the flexibility. The question which arises, since many companies claim to offer cloud servers, is how do you really know it's a cloud server?

Anyone knows how to test for a cloud server?
