What are some of the ways to monetize the blogsite

Recommended Posts

There are different affiliate programs you can check out depending on what niche your blog site has. Just go to google and search for what affiliate program that relates to your blogsite's interests the most. AdSense and Amazon are two that I know of that many people use, but like I said, it depends on your niche.

The best methods that I like to use to monetize my blog or website is the Amazon Associates program and Chitika Advertising. I use Google Adsense, but I'm not too happy with it so I'm going to try some other alternatives to it such as BuySellAds.com, but I have to increase my traffic first.

Simply use ads to monetize your blog. It will depend on the network. Like for Adsense it has strict rules but pays well. Then there is direct advertiser who might also contact you to advertise for them. So it will differ from method to method.

There are several ways to monetize your website which include displaying ads, affiliate marketing where you get paid commissions for selling products and you could even create a paid membership or have a few pages restricted for paid members. The trick is to experiment with different methods and find out which works the best for you.

No one monetization method will work. For relatively new sites that don't get much traffic, ads are definitely not your best option. I'd recommend affiliate marketing. You'll need to choose the products your promote wisely though. Look around the web and find as many relevant forums as you can, fill out your profile and be an active member on those forums, providing useful advice/answers consistently. Do some guerrilla marketing pointing out from time to time that users can find certain products on a certain site [yours] and I'm sure you'll start making money faster than you expected.

Affiliate marketing and Ads are all I know.

You could sell e-books or premium services if you're an expert at something....

But if you're not getting decent traffic, don't worry your pretty head with this for now :P

For blogs, I've seen that affiliate programs make the most dough, with a little ads on the side. I agree with Nathan - Adsense starts off great but they're notorious for banning people, even without proper reasoning. They're Google - you really can't say much against them.

For blogs, though, in my opinion, affiliate programs from specific shops instead of going for the bigger ones (i.e. CJ) work best, since they usually offer much better deals. There's this one affiliate program I'm in that offers 5-12% of sales, depending on what it is that got sold. That's pretty big already in my opinion.

12% comission is a great deal!  Usually I see 5 to 8%...

By the way, what's the average costing value of the products you promote? You mind sharing?

I mostly promote things between 10 and 30 $....

5% to 8 % on that is between 0,5 $ and 2,5 $, so I really need to stack them comissions up

But I'm more focused on learning at this point...
