Has anyone used a service to build a resume for you?  It's been a long time since I've used mine and thinking of having it done.

The best site I've found for it so far is: http://www.resumeedge.com/

Anyone have any reviews of it?

Just purchased the full package of a new resume from scratch, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile.

I've filled out their questionnaire so far, took about an hour, and now have the phone interview today.

Will update after.

I used Monster.com's resume writing service a few years ago and was really disappointed with the results. The person who wrote the resume for me obviously had no idea about the field I was working in, SEM & SEO. What they provided me was basically useless. If the person doing the writing doesn't know much about your industry, they cannot in any realistic fashion describe your skills or accomplishments in any detail.

Plus, if your resume reads like it was written by someone else, that's not a good sign to an employer. Generally speaking, if you can't write your own resumes, they might be questioning how effectively you will be able to write other correspondence for your position - presentations, reports, emails, etc...

You could save a lot of money simply by looking up other people's resumes in your field for ideas of how to word it.
